Senior Pastor
Rev. Kevin Hercula’s call to ministry came out of a deep love to teach, protect, and guide God’s children into the deeper life as fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. It is his desire to see God’s children equipped as disciples who make disciples as they do the good things God planned for them to do from long ago.
Pastor Kevin has been in active ministry since 1987 and became a pastor with The Alliance in 1997. It is our privilege at Crossroads Alliance to have him as our shepherd and to sit under his spiritual leadership.
Pastor Kevin and his wife Brenda were married July 7, 1989 and have been blessed with two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson. The children of Pastor Kevin and Brenda are following God’s call on their lives and are in active ministry as well.
Pastor Kevin and Brenda enjoy traveling to see new things, but have grown to love their vacation time spent in Arizona. They also enjoying walking, playing games, listening to music, and spending time with their family . . . especially their grandson!
Pastor Kevin’s zeal for local church is driven by those who don’t experience the full and abundant life Jesus offers. He believes that disciples of Jesus ought to experience a life that’s in step with the Spirit, that is growing more in love with God and His Word, and that is a living sacrifice of worship. Ultimately, he desires to see disciples grow in the likeness of Jesus Christ as they love the Lord their God with all they’ve got, and as they love their neighbors as themselves.
Because of his passion, Pastor Kevin strives to make God’s Word understandable and applicable to daily life. He is a Word and Spirit pastor who won’t compromise the truth just to make you feel good, but teaches the Word of God from a life filled with the Spirit, while giving you an opportunity to become all that God desires you to be for the glory of Jesus.
Brenda has a weekly devotional ministry with women called Daughters of Devotion that she began in 2012. Five days a week she sends out an email in which she shares life journeys, a devotion written either by her or from another devotional writer. This ministry has been an encouragement to many women and has developed into a prayer group that holds each other before the throne of grace. You will also find that Pastor Kevin loves people and is always looking for an opportunity to give a hug and/or sit down for a cup of coffee to develop a deeper relationship with those God has placed under his shepherding.
Associate Pastor
Pastor Charles Amoh has been working with youth for the past twelve years. During four of these years, he worked as a youth pastor for an inner-city church in St. Paul, MN.
He attended the University of Northwestern, St. Paul for Youth Ministry and Intercultural Studies.
He has been to 11 different countries outside of the continental United States on various missions trips and cultural immersion trips.
In addition to his pastoral role at Crossroads Alliance Church, he is currently working as a Resident Director at his Alma mater the University of Northwestern, St. Paul. In his spare time, he likes gardening, enjoys drinking coffee and going on dates with his wife Ruth.
Charles and Ruth have been married for 5 years and have spent the majority of their lives living in Minnesota and Wisconsin. They have a son who brings them constant joy and smiles. They are passionate about diversity, mentoring, and missions. Charles and Ruth both served in Chicago as Envision site leaders, and they hope to serve overseas as International Workers through the Christian and Missionary Alliance in the future.
